Best Android Tablets in Terms of Performance
Android tablets based on Nvidia’s Tegra 3 processor are highly competitive against Apple’s iPad
Generally, PCs and Laptops are defined by their performance but for tablets performance is not the benchmark. So far the performance tests implemented on tablets have not provided any certain results as the performance varies a lot. But still to figure out the performance of Android tablets as compared to Apple’s iPad, we have conducted a benchmarking performance test.
The statistics given in the charts suggested that Nvidia Tegra 3-based Android tablets are highly competitive in terms of performance. (Some of the tablets by Apple and Samsung Galaxy Note we have doesn’t contain Tegra 3 but are analyzed). While implementing testing we have noted that there are certain variations in performance and most likely they varied on the basis of processor speed, system memory and different Android versions.
The Google Nexus 7 is among the best android tablets in terms of performance despite of the budget, the performance is simply outstanding. Based on Tegra 3, 1.2 GHz quad-core processor it overcomes the performance of T30L. Nexus 7 is the first tablet that contains Google’s Android 4.1 Jelly Beans and it is also the first one to be based on Nvidia’s cost-cutting Kai reference platform. The Acer Iconia Tab A700 also contains the same processor as Nexus 7 and the results are quite similar as well but Nvidia has not provided any comments regarding their similarity.
Although Apple’s iPads are leading in terms of performance, in fact iPad performs twice as fast then the other tablets. Check out the Statistics given below:
